Recently, APIE Foundation mobilized the KR125 mini rotary drilling rig to participate in the "Jiangxi Street Beautiful River and Lake Comprehensive Enhancement Project Section I - Jiejingbang" construction project. The KR125 completed hole forming, cage fabricating, and cement filling in a tight space by itself, setting a record of forming 47 holes in a single day. The KR125 has completed the construction task with high efficiency, it has created significant economic benefits for the client and was highly praised by the customers.
This project is crucial to the “Wuxi City Beautiful River and Lake Initiative”, as it aims to comprehensively improve the landscape and water condition of 10 rivers in Jiangxi Street, such as Jiejingbang, Hongqiaobang, Qianjin River Meidong River, etc. The project mainly focuses on the construction of new walkways and railings, greenery enhancement and optimization, barge restoration, landscape enhancement, enrichment of lighting, drainage improvement, etc. The total length of the rivers are about 8.14 kilometers, the completion of this project will transform the 10 rivers into unique and first-class industrial, terrestrial, and cultural zones, ultimately creating an "aquatic, open, cheerful, and pleasant" riverfront landscape.
The site geological conditions are mainly backfilled and powder clay layer, the pile diameter is 600mm. The APIE foundation team must ensure the safety of the buildings under the premise of using non-excavation slope protection technology, first drilling, then placing the reinforcement cage, and finally pouring concrete, in order to ensure the safety of the river while also ensuring the safety of the buildings and avoiding mud pollution to the environment. The APIE foundation construction team overcame the challenges of cargo transportation and completed the reinforcement cage production efficiently, taking full advantage of the benefits of small rotary drilling rig in the constrained construction site, and completing the pile foundation construction with high quality, efficiency, and safety.
